Position Description:Assures the quality of care providedManages in designated department the operations and policies and proceduresCoordinates Infection Control and Performance Improvement activitiesSupervises staffManages the financial and personnel budgetsCoordinates educational programsSelects new employees and coordinates orientationActs as liaison with other departments and agenciesMaintains required documentationMaintains professional behaviorBehaves in a manner consistent with mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Master’s Degree in psychiatric and mental health nursing preferred Bachelor’s degree or minimum two years experience in the care of the mentally ill required Must pass annual competencies Registered Nurse, licensure current BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months of employment Managerial / supervisory experience preferred Experience as professional nurse in the care of the mentally ill preferred Experience in interdisciplinary formulation of treatment plans, skilled nursing care and therapy required Reports to: Administrative Director of Patient Care Services Supervises: All Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center nursing personnel, recreation therapist and social worker
