Director of Financial Aid

Our client is very prominent academic institution and the largest Christian university in the United States with a rapidly growing international distance learning program.

Our client is experiencing unprecedented growth and is seeking a Financial Aid Director to join our team. Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, and direct student financial assistance programs and initiatives. Outstanding interpersonal and community relations skills and ability to work within a diverse community. Knowledge of principles, practices, methodology and procedures for the provision of student financial aid. Ability to implement policies and procedures for new program delivery formats, and to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the provision of student financial aid. Must have the ability to provide oversight of 150 million dollars in financial aid.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years experience managing a financial aid department
•Experience with both Resident and Distance Learning Programs required
•Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the provision of student financial aid
•Experience with delivery of financial aid for Term-based Programs with Compressed courses
•Experience with Pell Calculations and Recalculations and recalculation of enrollment status for term based programs
•Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management
•Ability to identify and secure alternative funding/revenue sources
•Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment
•Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulation policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
•Ability to analyze and interpret financial information and to develop and prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports and analyses
