Director of Finance & Strategic Planning

Job Responsibilities:
Directs short-term forecasting and annual budgeting for the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in order to maximize growth of revenues and profits
Leads the Long Range Planning process for the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center ensuring that objectives are put in place to drive customer service, employee satisfaction and business profitability
Prepares market and financial analysis with proposals to quantify potential opportunities for new revenues and expense reductions
Analyzes financial and operating data against competitor data to determine management’s effectiveness
Directs the resort’s Yield Management practices to maximize revenues
Analyzes Sales & Marketing efforts and expenditures for optimum results, establishing trend evaluations to predict future revenues
Completes IRR and ROI analysis as appropriate for Capital Expenditures
Leads the resort’s Labor Analysis and usage of Labor Management Tools
Analyzes the resort’s operating fundamentals against the Hospitality Industry through publications, newsletters, conferences and seminars
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion to serve.
MBA or Advanced Degree required with a concentration in Finance preferred
At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis and/or market analysis required.
Must have strong quantitative, technical, and writing skills and expert knowledge in Excel and Access.
