Director, Social Compliance

DIRECTOR, SOCIAL COMPLIANCE

The Director, Social Compliance, reporting to the Vice President, Product Development and Safety Assurance will have significant responsibility and autonomy related to delivering advisory services and projects that provide high value to the company in its’ CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new strategies and overseeing existing policies and programs contributing to the development of responsible business practices in the area of factory compliance to the company’s numerous initiatives to strengthen its’ CSR policies.

The Director of Social Compliance will administer the companies Code of Conduct practices including the management of factory audits, corrective action plans and monitoring and tracking results. The Director of Social Compliance will compile extensive data from all audits and prepare documentation for internal review. In addition, the Director will prepare annual schedules for audits; establish priorities and, when necessary, launch investigative audits of suppliers having alleged violations.

External contacts may include Business, Governments, Trade Organizations, Non-government organizations; Academics and Consultancy contacts.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree in business, public policy, or related discipline.
Well-developed leadership and people skills, including a demonstrated ability to enhance the skills and effectiveness of other team members.
Deep knowledge of and experience working in one or more CSR-related issue areas, such as corporate accountability, environment, sustainable development, or supply chain management.

Minimum of five to ten years experience for-profit or non-profit or minimum five to ten years corporate operational experience, including experience managing complex projects, stakeholder engagement, planning, budgeting, etc.
Understanding of the dynamics of the public, private and not-for-profits and how these sectors interact.
Strong verbal, written, and facilitation skills.
Highest ethical standards.
