Director - Programming Finance, CNBC

Business Unit: NBC UniversalFunction: FinanceResponsibilities: The Director of Programming Finance for CNBC reports directly to the VP/CFO for CNBC and is one of the most critical finance roles in CNBC. CNBC is a global leader in business news programming and develops 17 hours of live programming daily. This role director will work closely with operating leaders in business news and primetime development to shape CNBC's programming strategy. The role is an excellent way to learn how cable television operates while managing the financial elements of the channel. Key responsibilities include:Playing a leadership role in developing strategic and financial plans for CNBC's program line-up for both business news and primetime.
Building and managing editorial and programming budgets for CNBC's current and prospective shows.* Analyzing show profitability for new and existing programs, including commercial opportunities and sales potential.
Communicating daily with functional leaders and show producers on both day-to-day operating activities and longer term strategic actions. Driving operating mechanisms to monitor and improve key financial metrics.
Providing support in preparing and presenting business updates for senior NBCU management
Fostering relationships with other NBCU finance teams to influence and maximize CNBC results in sales, cash, etc.
Providing overall leadership & coaching for members of the finance team, fostering an inclusive team environment~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in business, accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years of finance experience
Experience managing direct reports, leadership and ability to work well with a diverse team
Proficient Excel and Powerpoint skillsEligibility Requirements:
