Director, Operations

Advanta, one of the nation’s largest issuers (through Advanta Bank Corp.) of MasterCard business credit cards to small businesses is looking for a Director, Operations in the Client Services Fulfillment Management Group, to work at our corporate headquarters in Spring House, Pennsylvania, located just outside of Philadelphia in beautiful Montgomery County.

As Director, Operations you will have day-to-day responsibility for managing and providing leadership to a team of professionals responsible for developing new product configurations on the Credit Card First Data Resources (FDR) system; managing the output of monthly statements, plastics, letters, resolving issues, and supporting IT infrastructure and data requirements. The key to success is the ability to provide superior service to internal functional areas in support of business critical marketing programs and analysis.


Responsibilities:

Provide leadership to a team of professionals including the PCF analyst team, error resolution team, and change management team. These teams directly support business critical initiatives.
Manage the relationship with the FDR client team assigned to Advanta. Ensure the structure and focus of the client team meets the ever-changing needs of Advanta.
Organize bi-monthly business meetings, maintain the FDR/Advanta Service Plan, and organize educational sessions between the organizations.
Liaison with the various functional units within Advanta understanding and satisfying their particular needs related to FDR.
Maintain departmental SOP’s, workflows and control documents; participate in and resolve any SOX or audit items, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in the Operating Committee whose charter is to scope new initiatives for review and prioritization by the Office of the Chairman.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Eight to ten years experience in credit card or related industry. Five to seven years of management experience required.
Experience with FDR, TSYS or other core credit card processing system required.
Proficiency with MS Office program suite required and experience with other data analysis tools for reporting and summarizing results is helpful.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
Must work well in a team environment.
Position will require some travel.
