Director, Internal Audit

Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Internal AuditGeneral Responsibilities: MoneyGram International, a high performance payment services company, currently has an opportunity for a Director of Internal Audit located at our National headquarters in St. Louis Park, MN. The Director will assist the Vice President of Internal Audit with establishing and managing the internal audit function and will lead the execution of annual audit commitments. Additional responsibilities include: Conducting an annual risk assessment, designing the annual risk-based audit plan; implementing board-approved audit directives; managing and/or assisting with audits; managing the audit staff and relationships with external audit partners; consulting with management to solve problems and reduce the risk; assisting with due diligence on potential acquisitions with significant information technology impact.
REQUIREMENTS

MBA a plus.CPA and/or CIA preferred.10+ years of increasingly responsible audit experience required. This includes solid background developing business processes and controls, coupled with experience leading an audit department with a publicly traded company. Experience in a financial institution or the payment services industry preferred.Demonstrated knowledge of information technology hardware, software and applications development life cycle and/or extensive hands-on experience conducting information technology audits required.Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners. Skilled communicator with the ability to present difficult and complex outcomes, objectives and timelines, without alienating required.Previous experience hiring, training, developing and managing the performance of internal audit staff highly desired.Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills essential.Ability to travel approximately 20% (international and domestic) required.
