Director, Finance-Recycler

Purpose:
Responsible for financial projections, reports and treasurer functions of the firm.Oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial systems.Oversees Accounting functions including accounts payable, sales accounting, cash management and general ledger.Senior level position with overall responsibility for planning, managing and directing the accounting and financial functions, including staff, systems and proceduresDevelops and recommends financial management policiesDevelops annual operating and capital budgetsOversees Annual Internal Financial AuditOversees Sarbanes OxleyOversees Filing of Sales and Use Tax, Personal Property Tax and City Business LicensesMaintains financial and operational integrity of financial accounting systemsWorks cooperatively with others to achieve Firm goals
REQUIREMENTS
Finance Director Education & Experience: College degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) desired Prior experience in publishing environment Prior experience in financial management; supervisory skills requiredTechnical Skill Requirements: Expert level knowledge of accounting management principles and practices Proficiency with legal accounting management software and databases Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteGeneral Knowledge & Abilities: Excellent attention to detail Time management and organizational skills Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel Ability to work well under pressure Ability to be a team player
