Director, Finance

VNU is a global information and media company with leading positions in marketing and media information, business publications, and trade shows. Its widely respected brands include ACNielsen, Nielsen Media Research, Billboard, Adweek, and The Hollywood Reporter, among many others.This individual directs and manages all assigned operational aspects of the Film & Performing Arts Group and monitors and maintains operational budgets and evaluates revenue and costs of revenue relationships. This individual will also drive business development in key areas of the group.Operational
Research and manage the due diligence process re: operational aspects of any launches, acquisitions, divestitures or repositioning of assigned portfolio
Provide assistance in developing, monitoring and maintaining operational budgets for group portfolio
Evaluate revenue and expenses to improve margins and revenue contribution for the group portfolio
Evaluate revenue and cost of revenue relationship, providing input and managing actions to improve margins and revenue contribution for group portfolio
Develop, monitor and maintain operational policies and procedures for the group portfolio
Collaborate with colleagues to share information on standardizations and best practices
Manage the development and implementation of systems within group e.g. CRM in Sales, Insertion Order Program, and other programs for the group.
Manage the Production Director and staff to improve operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain relationship with customers, partners and associationsFinancial
Assists in creating yearly mid term plan/business strategy
Coordinates the preparation of the yearly budget
Monitors P&L of group
Develops quarterly forecasts
Monitors and coordinate monetary savings
Timely and accurate reporting
Responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of organization
Researches and advise on myriad of different business initiatives
Oversees, recruits, develops and train financial analyst position.

Minimum 7 years operations
Minimum 5 years management experienceExtensive operations experience
Superior organizational and presentation skills
Ability to negotiate, interpret and summarize contracts
Ability to delegate and multi-task under tight deadlines
Must be highly detail oriented
Strong financial and budgeting skills, capable of preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, etc
Professional demeanor
