Director Credit & Collections

As an active member of the finance management team, the Director of Credit & Collections will have direct experience collecting on a portfolio over $1B between two divisions: ICS & IDS. The role will involve small claims courts, settlements, and negative accounts. Other responsibilities include overseeing the collection agency programs, bankruptcy process, escheat procedures, providing analytical and statistical reports to reconcile between sub ledgers and general ledger, forecasting, budgeting, as well as overseeing the, NYSE regulatory and legal processes. Management responsibilities include directly supervising a staff up to 17 collectors and administration, leading, hiring, coaching, counseling staff, training, mentoring, and monitoring staff.

Have strong knowledge of accounting functions as it relates to collections, cash flow and bad debt exposure.

Possess strong system knowledge in order to lead programmers on automation projects. Recommended Oracle and Axs-One experience.

Manage, motivate, train, and provide development opportunities to direct reports.

Strong background in D&B Software with experience reviewing financial statements of public companies.

Vast experience working with the court systems on bankruptcy filings and laws.

Engage with all functional groups as a value added Business Partner.

This position requires travel as deemed necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor?s degree (Accounting a Plus) or MBA
10+ years in Credit & Collection field and/or accounting related function
Strong in Excel, Word, excellent presentation skills (written and verbal)
