Summary of Responsibilities, Essential Duties & Expectations: Constellation Energy Commodities Group (CCG) is the marketing and trading arm of Constellation Energy and is now the leading power marketing company in North America. CCG manages all wholesale trading and risk management activities on a national and international basis, originates long-dated structured transactions and participates in ventures that complement its wholesale energy portfolio. CCG is seeking a Director, Credit to work in our corporate headquarters located in Baltimore, MD. The Director, Credit will be responsible for credit analytics monitoring and reporting the portfolio credit exposure and providing recommendations on how to mitigate the credit risk. Major responsibilities include: credit pricing, credit hedging and developing and implementing credit models. Other responsibilities include actively measuring the expected and unexpected losses of the portfolio. Credit valuation adjustment related to marked to market position and the measurement of liquidity capital on our trading portfolio. . This individual is responsible for working closely with the credit and origination group in providing fixed income expertise (such as duration and convexity). The Director, Credit will also be assigned special projects such as leading the credit group in the implementation of credit analytics.
Qualifications (Experience, Competencies, Skills, Education): Qualified candidates must possess the following qualifications: Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or finance, having an advanced degree would be preferred. Knowledge of fundamental credit analysis; prior experience in the commercial banking sector is preferred. Demonstrated ability to quantify probability of default and recovery into credit spread Strong fixed income skills and solid understanding of Credit Default Swaps Basic understanding of energy market transactions, and their associated parameters, such as forward curves and mark to market is required. Prior experience in the energy industry is not required.
