POSITION OBJECTIVE:This position will report to the Corporate CFO. The position will initially focus on coordinating the 13 week rolling cash flow forecast presented to our creditors on a weekly basis. In addition this position will be assigned other special projects including some of those described below. This position is expected to maintain a current understanding of GAAP, SEC issues, financial analysis, and financial reporting tools. The position will be the successor to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis position should that position become open.ESSSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates preparation for the of the corporate weekly rolling cash flow forecast, including consolidation of the division forecasts and preparation of the corporate SG&A forecast. Also, provide variance analysis and reporting as needed.
Assume responsibility for and lead the improvement of the detailed cash flow forecast for the I&L division.
Lead a review and assist as necessary in the redevelopment of the I&L annual operating plan process to improve the robustness and accuracy of their annual forecast
Conduct a semi-annual review of the operating division capital expenditure plans, insuring they are on plan and consistent with the overall strategic objectives of the company. Identify any improvements to the capex approval process associated with individual capital expenditures. Work with the operating divisions to improve the economic analysis of investment decisions and act as a center of expertise to establish consistent guidelines and procedures. Provide variance analysis and reporting as necessary.
Review significant lease-versus-buy decisions and recommend changes and additional analysis as necessary. Insure the process incorporates competitive bids with regard to underlying equipment purchases and lease negations and assist business units in material negotiations.
Support divisional efforts in the consolidation of financial information (actuals, forecasts, and plan) at the corporate level.
Creates reports and schedules necessary to support management reporting.
May serve as a process owner for one or more Corporate processes in connection with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance and perform other Sarbanes-Oxley related assignments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
7+ years professional accounting experience. Knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting and financial analysis.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite and other financial reporting systems. Ability to communicate with all levels of associates including senior management.
Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile financial and other economic information.
Ability to cope with stress accompanying decision-making, proposals, and interacting with co-workers.
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.Preferred:
9+ years professional accounting experience.EDUCATIONRequired:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
