Department of Financial Institutions Senior Underwriter/Underwri

Underwrite Property and Casualty lines as well as financial products lines of coverage for financial institutions, including D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary and financial Fidelity. The underwriter is expected to manage approximately a $7M - $9M book of multi-line business placed by retail producers in the San Francisco marketplace as well as selected Marsh offices in San Francisco and along the West Coast.In this position, the individual will play a major role as a recognized expert in achieving and developing department goals related to profit, rate, growth and the development of desired market share for the Department of Financial Institutions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: renewal account management, new business production, and sales and marketing. The underwriter should be able to develop and analyze underwriting information as the basis for underwriting recommendations and decisions, and will be expected to effectively collaborate with branch management and the Zone Underwriting Management team. This individual must also have exceptional documentation and risk analysis skills and be willing to contribute to staff development and training as needed. Business travel up and down the west coast may be required
