Database Developer - Financial Industry

Young, successful financial software company in mid-town Manhattan seeking software engineer with 1-3 years Database/SQL development experience.

We are seeking candidates with a positive work attitude, ability to take initiative and eagerness to learn and advance technical skills. Must also have good analytical and problem-solving abilities and good math skills.

This financial software company has developed recognized products for the investment industry in Java, C#, SQLServer and XML. This mixed technical environment provides excellent opportunity to learn various technologies. Will join team of highly skilled software engineers working with most advanced OOD / OOP technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
1-to-3 years database experience developing stored procedures and triggers; very strong SQL development preferably on commercial software products
Enthusiasm, positive attitude, strong initiative and eagerness to learn are essential.
Strong analytical, math and problem-solving skills
Should enjoy a fast- paced, challenging, team environment with opportunities for creative work and independent projects.
Must have very strong SQL skills; additional skills in XML, Java, C#, Websphere, OOD/Object Oriented development ASP.Net; UML; are of interest.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other technical field (GPA of 3.5+ is desired)
