Data Center Disaster Recovery Specialist

Key Role:Provide enterprise infrastructure and data center disaster recovery and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and design for consolidated data centers supporting an active-active operating environment. Plan and design active-active and failover solutions for all computing platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, UNIX, SAN/Enterprise Tape Backup, and mainframe, including the development, implementation, and administration of operational functions supporting delivered solutions. Assist with developing facility readiness, COOP, contingency and risk management plans, and standard operating procedures for the use and administration of critical systems and solutions. Apply experience with conducting business case and requirements analysis, evaluating enterprise solution design and operations, including tiered data management solutions, developing project implementation and migration strategies, and helping clients improve data center operational efficiency and disaster recoverability.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications:


-5 years of experience with data center operations


-5 years of experience with data center disaster recovery plans


-3 years of experience with enterprise architecture


-BA or BS degree



Additional Qualifications:


-5-8 years of experience with data center system requirements gathering, systems engineering, and infrastructure or solution design


-3-5 years of experience with providing enterprise infrastructure and data center disaster recoverability and COOP


-2-3 years of experience with developing facility readiness, COOP, contingency or risk mitigation plans and strategies, and other documentation


-Possession of excellent presentation skills


-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills





Education/Certifications or equivalent required:


BA or BS degree in a related field required
