Data Analyst II

Currently we are seeking a Data Analyst II for our Clifton Park, NY office. This position is focuses on the continual acquisition, analysis and digital re-creation of newspaper and direct mail product media kit information to insure the database remains current and accurate. Job responsibilities are as follows:

§Provide detailed analysis of newspaper and direct mail product geographic boundary information and accurately represent the information utilizing GIS mapping software.
§Provide detailed analysis of newspaper and direct mail product circulation information and accurately enter the information based on the corresponding geographic area and the day of week.
§Provide detailed analysis of newspaper and direct mail product rate cards, both national and retail, to determine preprinted insert and run of press advertising rates; accurately enter these rates by the corresponding day of availability utilizing a proprietary software.
§Provides input to the creation and evolution of standard operating procedures to facilitate the changing operating environment.
§Participate in the implementation, tracking, reporting and successful completion of special departmental projects within specified time lines.
§Interact with internal representatives to clarify details, compile responses, etc.
§Perform basic SQL queries to extract data from tables; add/delete database information to maintain data integrity.
§Update all newspaper and direct mail product media kit information in database as requested.
§Archive all outdated media kit information
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

§Knowledge of Atlas GIS software or equivalent GIS mapping application
§Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
§Exhibit sound judgment and decision making ability.
§Ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external representatives.
§Ability to accurately interpret information that is provided in a variety of formats.
§High level of attention to detail.
§Excellent written and verbal skills.
§Familiarity with personal computer hardware and business software.
