DME Collections Specialist

Classification: Temporary Compensation: $13 to $18 per hour The OfficeTeam Healthcare Group is currently experiencing a high demand for DME Collections Specialists. The business office of an acute care facility is seeking a Medical Collector on a contract-to-hire basis. Job duties will consist of collecting on HMO, PPO, Medicare, and workers' compensation insurances. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: The primary responsibility is to ensure that no accounts are outstanding past 90 days. Based on a monthly aging report, following up with insurance companies and other third parties on open accounts to determine why claims have not been paid. Resubmitting claims to insurance companies and following up to make sure they are paid Dealing with the front office of various medical providers in a professional manner to secure the necessary information to get claims paid. Posting payments on accounts that have been paid. Following up on denials and rejections from insurance companies to ensure payment of submitted claims. Providing reports to the providers and management regarding the status of accounts as and when requested.
