Expressive Therapist
Responsibilities
Develops positive relationships with their group and individual clients that imparts respect and concern for problems, which group members have, and gains their confidence and trust as evidenced by expressive therapy
Works directly in conjunction with other clinicians in planning to help implement and support treatment goals of all clients
Ensures that timely and appropriate information and direction is provided to team staff members, positive group culture, ensuring continuity and implementation of treatment planning.
Participates in intake, discharge planning including aftercare, and post treatment follow-up on individual clients
Responsible to fulfill all Medicaid component requirements and documentation at 100%
Maintains a positive relationship with referral sources and appropriate systems, and reviews treatment plans to ensure successful treatment as it relates to expressive work
Display meticulous attention to detail while completing treatment records assuring compliance with applicable agencies
Provides client counseling and consultation services to individual clients and families, which promote client stabilization within the community setting.
Complete & pass Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training
Must be able to provide 4 hours of group therapy and individual services
Must be able to determine the level of services the client requires
Interpreting and communicating therapeutic insights, gains, etc. in an effort to effectively plan treatment and establish therapeutic goals with emphasis in expressive therapies

The MILL, which stands for Motivating Individuals for Learning and Living, seeks to help abused, neglected and at-risk youth through a strength based approach to develop appropriate attitudes, behaviors, and skills that lead to responsible and productive lifestyles.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree (M.A.) with emphasis in expressive therapies from college or university in Human Services
Minimum of two years experience preferred
Excellent oral and written skills
