DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING - WPPGH

Our Client, a well-established Pittsburgh Manufacturer that specializes in a patented construction product is seeking a Accounting Manager/Controller to join their growing company. This position will be responsible for supervising the financial department and for coordinating all related financial activity with the firm’s outside public accounting firm. Monthly responsibilities include but not limited to: management of general ledger, financial reporting, cash management, inventory control.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

•Bachelors degree (would prefer if it was in finance or accounting but not required)
•3-5 years working in a high transaction volume manufacturing or contracting firm desirable
•Supervisory or management experience is preferred
•Expert level with excel and high level of skill with the MS Office suite of products
•Strong Computer Skills
•Strong experience with system conversions/implementations
•Strong financial modeling skills
•Strong analytical skills
•Strong cost accounting skills
•Solid understanding of GAAP and current accounting issues
•Solid understanding of state sales and use tax issues
•Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
