DIRECTOR, FINANCE opportunity with major Westchester hospital.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Vice President, Finance, oversee accounting reporting and control functions including statistical information, and budget and forecasting program.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for preparation and analysis of accounting, statistical, and other financial records and reports. Oversee activities of general accounting, finance, cashiers, payroll, accounts payable, budgets, reimbursement and mailroom.

Attend Finance Committee and assist V.P., Finance in preparation of reports required by management.

Supervise all accounting and statistical (fiscal) records of the Hospital; direct preparation of accounting and statistical statements. Analyze and interpret statements. Recommend revisions to accounting system as necessary to meet changing needs.

Responsible for preparation of reports notifying department managers of relationship of actual expenditures to budgeted amounts. Supervise compilation of hospital operating costs and verify counting and pricing of physical inventories.

Review hospital investments and make recommendations.

Responsible for preparation of cost reporting to a variety of outside agencies as well as for internal groups.

Relate to insurance carriers regarding all hospital insurance policies.

Responsible for preparation of yearly updates for fixed asset record keeping and verify depreciation schedules.

Responsible for overseeing general
ledger, closing books, trial balance, debits/credits, bank deposits, and petty cash.
