Our Customs and International Trade Group, a national tax practice, advises U.S. and foreign multinational companies in the U.S. on international customs and trade strategies and compliance. We specialize in designing and implementing duty-saving strategies on a global basis. The practice is composed of attorneys, accountants, customs brokers, auditors, and tax professionals who help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and resolve controversies with customs authorities in all major trading countries. The practice serves all major industry segments, including electronics, automotive, textiles, chemicals, heavy machinery and consumer business.Deloitte's Customs and International Trade Managers have in-depth, first-hand experience in a wide range of industries. They are responsible for advising our clients on international customs and trade strategies and compliance. Additionally, Managers in
the Customs practice supervise assignments by Consultants and Seniors in the group, and are responsible for the development and motivation of engagement staff by providing them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. They have proven, extensive technical expertise and have developed their reputation within the Customs and International Trade profession. We are currently looking for a Manager to join our Group. Requirements include:
5 or more years relevant international trade and customs experience
In depth knowledge of Customs regulations
In depth knowledge of U.S. Customs valuation, classification and special trade programs
Strong research, writing, communication and analytical skills
Strong project and people management skills
Undergraduate degree required; advance degree preferred
Foreign language skills preferred
US Customs Broker License preferred
