Customer Service Representative

Air Products Healthcare, a premier regional home healthcare provider, was formed in 1999. To date we have over ninety branches across the Eastern United States. These companies in aggregate have over 230 years of providing quality, caring service in the home.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Identify the need(s) of a patient, collect all necessary data relevant to that need; interpret, verify and process that data to determine if patient is eligible; and facilitate delivery/pick up of the equipment in a timely manner. Respond to customer issues that may arise during and after order processing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prompt, polite phone etiquette utilizing company greeting and appropriately processing the call. May include properly greeting and processing transactions for “Walk in” customers.
•Accurate and complete data collection from referrals and completion of applicable paperwork. Interpret, verify and accurately enter data in computer to process orders.
•Inform customer of financial responsibility.
•Communicate with sales force and management.
•Ensure patient qualifies for type and quantity of product(s) ordered, based upon patient’s insurance and when necessary obtain insurance authorization.
•Promptly respond to and resolve customer issues.
•Learn, understand and maintain working knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
•Attend and participate in company Quality Assurance and Compliance in-service/training programs on an ongoing basis.
•Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
•High School Diploma required, some college preferred
•Related education or previous work experience in the medical or health insurance field (0-1 years minimum, 1-3 years preferred)
•Computer literate
•Strong communication skills
•Detail oriented & organized
•Medical background a plus
