Credit Investigation Representative

Ability to protect confidential customer information.Essential Functions:Principal Accountabilities & Authority:
Utilize appropriate on-line and telephone verification tools to perform verification of orders in most effective manner possible to guard against identity theft, account takeover, family fraud and other identified risks.
Handle follow up documentation on orders and fraud situations to facilitate on-going research.
Effectively utilize multiple software packages as appropriate, to include email and spreadsheet software.
Utilize professional customer service and people skills to communicate clearly to customers on any fraud related issues, oral and written.
Professionally work with other companies, when necessary to attain comprehensive solutions.

The career path for a successful performer in this role could be to a Credit Investigator II or Lead Credit Investigator.Qualifications:Education:
Two years of college education and/or experience.Experience:
Minimum of one year of credit or fraud detection experience in a call center or customer service environment required.
Proficient grounding in Microsoft Windows platform and e-mail software packages is required.
Excellent Internet navigation skills are necessary.
Familiarity with Excel or similar spreadsheet software required.
Ability to multi-task, yet remain detail oriented. Exhibit creative thinking and display deductive reasoning and analytical skills. The position requires superior customer service skills along with effective verbal/written communication skills.
Willingness to grow from constructive feedback.
Capability to keep sensitive customer information confidential.Physical Activity:
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Keying: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm, as in handling.

Operators: This is a minimum standard for those whose job requires work done at close visual range. (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, clerical and administrative functions, accounting, computer terminal use, extensive reading, visual inspection, operation of machines, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts.Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
