Credit Executive – Financial Institutions

A Major Financial Services Organization located in New York City is seeking a Credit Executive with 8 + years Corporate Finance experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial institutions including but not limited to insurance companies and reinsurance business. This individual must have exceptional financial modeling and cash flow projection skills as well as prior financial statement analysis experience. The firm is offering a starting salary of up to 175K base + bonus.


Major Responsibilities:
Manage a team of analyst performing in depth corporate credit analysis of financial institutions including insurance companies and assess reinsurance business
Make collective exposure recommendations based on analysis
Analyze financial statements and determine risk grades
Perform industry and market analysis and conduct financial reviews
Conduct credit reviews on accounts submitted to credit committee for approval
Handle external relationships with clients and insurance companies
Analyze credit risk and apply risk ratings to a broad group of entities
Generate and review credit reports on substandard credits and overall watch list for department on a monthly basis.
Interface with credit committee to discuss credit, policy, compliance, and problem matters on a bi-weekly basis.
Assist credit officers with credit application process, in particular with evaluations of credit as needed.
Job Requirements


Requirements:
8 + years of Corporate Credit Analysis experience from a major financial institution preferably a commercial or investment bank – covering financial institutions including insurance companies
Excellent cash flow projection and financial modeling skills
Strong Analytical skills are essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to present and document credit matters.
Ability to anticipate issues and initiate remedial efforts.
Proficiency with MS Office
BS / BA Degree in Finance or related field required – Masters Degree and CFA, CPA a plus
Formal credit training at a financial institution or rating agency preferred.
