Cost Accountant/Analyst - PA

Ashley Furniture, the #1 furniture manufacturer in the US, has an immediate opportunity open for a Cost Accountant/Analyst at our Leesport, PA facility.

Collects, organizes, and presents data that is used in decision making to lower costs, reduce inventories, and increase thru-put to company management.

-Combines the ability to analyze business information with interpersonal skills to form management teams directed at process improvements and cost reductions.

-Responsibilities also include maintenance and validation of costs for all raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods items; development of internal control procedures and shop floor policies that improve data collection and reporting for all costs association with shop floor work orders.

-Direct support and active involvement on Cost Reduction Teams.

-Completes operational reporting and performance measurements.

-Utilize knowledge of product and customer margin information to form and/or support cross-functional margin improvement teams.

-Inventory control processes and procedures.

-Verification and maintenance of materials, labor, and overhead standard costs.

-Operational accounting month end closing process and procedures to include journal entries, account reconciliation, month end margin and mix reporting, variance review.

-Internal audits, plus all other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree plus 5 Years Cost Accounting Exp in Manufacturing Environment

Knowledge of: Manufacturing Costing and Inventory Control Systems; Operational Accounting Performance Measurements; Continuous Improvement, TOC, 6S, Kaizen; Mapics EPDM, Mapics IFM, AS400 Query, and Excel; Bills of Material, Labor Routings; Activity based costing and overhead application methods.
