Cost Accountant

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $41600.00 to $49920.00 per year Unique full time opportunity available for a Cost Accountant with 5+ years of experience. Cost Accountant position entails: Analyzing balance sheet accounts such as inventory, equipment, etc. and on the basis of analysis prepare year-end accruals; preparing inventory variance analysis reports and analyzing variances; analyzing inventory records on monthly basis for inconsistencies; reconciling beginning raw materials inventory, work-in-progress inventory and finished goods stock to account for the raw materials purchased and produced; developing cost standards for materials and labor, summarizing unit cost information for all product lines; analyzing necessity and preparation of all inventory-related journal entries at month-end, including adjusting entries, if necessary; developing depreciation schedules using assigned depreciation rates; supervising/performing audit function of physical inventories.
