Corporate Vice President Finance
A $3 billion integrated hospital and health care delivery system seeks a Corporate Vice President, Finance. This highly visible position reports to the Executive Vice President/ Chief Financial Officer.
Specific Areas of Responsibilities Include:
•Manage annual operating and capital budget process including:
Preparation of common assumptions.
Preparation of budgets for corporate entities.
Review and assessment of hospital budgets.
Analyze ROI on capital requests.
Development of consolidated budget document including consolidated financial
statements, management description and analysis narrative, financial ratios and executive overview.
Presentations to Board of Director, Finance Committee, and Strategic Planning
Committee.
•Develop periodic “outlooks” updating annual budget based upon actual YTD results.
•Develop annual three-year, long-range financial forecast utilizing business planning techniques such as cash flow, financial and operating risks, and critical success factors.
•Prepare a ten-year financial forecast in coordination with the strategic planning cycle.
•Perform analysis to support corporate and system-wide strategic and operating initiatives, including divestiture or acquisition of businesses, major capital projects and cost reduction opportunities.
•Directly responsible for Decision Support across seven hospitals.
•Working with Vice President, Financial Operations to monitor monthly financial reports.
•Provide financial executive support to Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and appropriate board committees.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for this position include a ten-year progressive career track record in tertiary/academic hospitals or integrated hospital/health care delivery systems. Specific experience in a key financial leadership role is required. In addition, this position requires proven hands-on financial operations and health care system integration experience. Our client seeks a high energy, team oriented financial executive who is committed to excellence. Educational requirements include a B.S. in Finance/Accounting with an MBA considered a plus. A CPA is highly desirable.
