Adams Harris, Inc is a start-up professional services firm focused on the highly visible areas of accounting/finance, internal audit, SOX, technology risk mitigation and corporate tax. This is a well funded/capitalized firm whose founders have previously built one of the premier firms in the industry. Their plans are to open offices in 25 cities over a 5 year period and employ over 1,500 people. Services will include hourly support, outsourcing, special projects and consulting. Position Locations: Chicago, IL and Houston, TX

Reports to: Managing Director

Core Competencies / Personality Profile
Proven leadership, strong initiative, high energy, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
Big 4 experience a plus
Minimum 7+ years of experience
Credentials such as CPA, MBA, CIA, CISA, CISSP

Basic Functions
Tax provision
Tax Accounting/FAS 109
Federal Tax Compliance and Research
State Income/Franchise Tax Compliance and Research
International Tax Compliance and Research
Sales/Use Tax and Property Tax Compliance and Research
Knowledge of Tax Software - CorpTax, FasTax, InSource
Special Projects as directed by client

Education Requirements
4 year degree, CPA and/or MBA preferred

Professional Experience
Ideal candidates for the Tax Professional role should have overall work experience of 7 - 10 years gained through a combination of public accounting and/or industry accounting or auditing roles, and possess certifications such as CPA, CIA, MBA, CISA, and CISSP.
