A well respected St. Louis based leader in Health Care Industry is looking for a Senior Federal Tax Accountant & a Senior State/Local Tax Accountant.
SENIOR FEDERAL TAX ACCOUNTANT
Responsible for preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual income tax provisions and maintenance of all federal income tax accounts in the general ledger. Responsible for the preparation of all federal tax compliance including the preparation of the federal consolidated income tax return and quarterly federal estimated income tax payments. Responsible for assisting the Director of Federal Tax in handling the federal income tax audit and special projects such as forecasts, budgets, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
DUTIES
Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including the preparation of all workpapers calculating all Schedule M-1 book-tax differences.
Preparation of the federal consolidated income tax return, including the preparation of all workpapers to support the return. Preparation of quarterly federal estimated income tax payments.
Maintenance of all federal income tax accounts including monthly reconciliations thereof.
Assist the Director of Federal Tax with the federal income tax audit including gathering all information in response to information document requests (IDR's).
Assist the Director of Federal Tax with all special projects including budgets, forecasts, and mergers & acquisitions due diligence.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Accounting.
1+ years of solid federal income tax experience in either public accounting and/or industry.
C.P.A. preferred.
Strong FAS 109 accounting for income taxes knowledge and experience.
Solid tax research skills required.
Experience in the preparation of consolidated federal tax returns required.

SENIOR STATE & LOCAL TAX ACCOUNTANT
Preparation of state & local income tax returns, state franchise tax returns, state corporate annual reports, property tax renditions, sales & use tax returns and quarterly state estimated income tax payments. Assist the State & Local Tax Manager with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual state income tax provisions and maintenance of all state income tax accounts in the general ledger. Responsible for assisting the State & Local Tax Manager in handling the state income tax audits and supporting the State & Local Tax Manager with all special projects such as tax savings strategies, forecasts, budgets, mergers & acquisitions, etc.
DUTIES
Preparation of state & local income tax returns, including the preparation of all workpapers to supports the returns. Preparation of state & local estimated income tax payments and extension filings.
Preparation of all corporate annual reports, personal property declarations, sales/use tax returns, including maintenance and reconciliation of all franchise, personal property, and sales/use tax accounts.
Assist the SALT Tax Manager with the income, franchise, and sales/use tax audits including gathering all information in response to information document requests (IDR's).
Assist SALT Tax Manager with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual state income tax provisions, including maintenance of all apportionment data necessary to keep accurate state effective tax rates.
Assist State & Local Tax Manager with special projects such as tax savings strategies, forecasts, budgets, mergers & acquisitions, etc.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
1+ years of solid state & local tax experience in either public accounting and/or industry.
CPA strongly preferred. Advanced degree such as M.S.T. or J.D. a plus.
Solid sales/use tax & property tax compliance and audit experience required.
Experience in the preparation of state & local income & franchise tax returns required.
