Corporate Sales Tax Accountant

Purpose:
Prepare returns for sales and use tax in multiple states.
-Create and/or revise spreadsheets and processes to improve the sales tax return filing procedures.
-Prepare responses to sales and use tax notices when required.
-Assist Senior Tax Accountant with sales & use tax audits and any other account reviews and/or reconciliations, as needed.
-Collect and organize data to prepare business licenses for multiple locations.
-Oversee property tax return process with respect to returns prepared by other departments or outsourced.
-Assist with issues related to property taxes as assigned.
-Research tax issues
-Position reports to Senior Tax Accountant

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; 1-2 years experience in sales tax return preparation; Property tax experience a plus; Experience with on-line tax research tools (RIA,BNA and Tax Analyst); Excellent organizational and communication skills; Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word; Knowledge of Tax Preparation Software (E-Forms), PeopleSoft knowledge a plus:
