Corporate Operations Finance Manager

Manage Month-end close, reporting, and account analysis. Reviews plant activity and ensures transactions (e.g. work order closures, material issuances) are processed timely and accurately in the system. Ensures issues are addressed and communicated to plant management and/or corporate. Responsible for reviewing financial processes and procedures for continuous improvements; recommends improvements as needed.
Participates in product cost maintenance, new product estimates, and annual standard cost development.
Provides inventory analyses and inventory management support. Ensures excess/obsolete inventories are managed in accordance with Company policy. Ensures valuation reserves are recorded/reviewed as part of the month-end close process.
Responsible for labor, production variance reporting, analysis, and forecasting; identifies risks and opportunities.
Assists plant operations management in developing annual budgets and coordinate budget development with Financial Planning.
Responsible for comprehensive analyses on plant operations as requested by Plant and Operations Management.
Fixed asset analysis and Capital Expense Request support.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA Preferred.
Six years Finance or Accounting experience; manufacturing a plus. Two years of supervisory experience desired.
Strong systems and MRP knowledge (i.e. AS400). Strong analytical skills with solid PC spreadsheet skills (Excel preferred). Familiarity with word processing applications (Word preferred) and presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint).
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
