Controller to groom into CFO

Classification: Full Time Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 per year Rapidly growing manufacturing company located near downtown San Diego seeks a Controller on a direct hire basis. Candidate will report directly to the Vice President, and be responsible for managing the overall accounting/financial operations for a 15-year old company with multiple product lines. This company is seeking an individual who can help create infrastructure, internal controls, efficiencies, and better reporting processes. Day to day duties will include general ledger, profitability, cost, and budget analysis, as well as tax planning and reporting. This position reports to the Vice President and will be involved in financial reporting to outside investors as well. This position will also be hands on in reviewing journal entries, and preparing adjusting entries and account reconciliations to begin with, with the purpose of learning the company and assessing staffing needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to join an established, growing company in a senior role.
