Controller — Skilled CPA Needed for Enterprising Role!

We seek an assertive professional to oversee the reporting functions for Exante Bank and Exante Financial Services. As the Controller, you would track and report the financials for multiple cost centers and provide daily guidance to a team of accountants. Your stellar communication skills and ability to lead would be essential in this position. Primary responsibilities include:


Managing up to five Accountants in their daily duties, including daily entries, accounts receivable/payables, suspense items and reconciliations


Administering staff performance reviews as well as personal performance consultations


Overseeing standard monthly reports, including operating and financial results


Reporting findings to board of directors


Preparing quarterly regulatory reporting and financial public reports


Reporting to managers issues that are affecting the business

Job Requirements:

A Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting is required. The candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a solid CPA work history. Experience working in financial services is preferred as is a history working in a large company. Prior experience as a controller or in other financial roles in the healthcare industry is preferred. PeopleSoft, SAP or other GL system skills are ideal. Hyperion Essbase knowledge is also an advantage. A strong proficiency in MS Office applications is needed.
