Controller Juniata College

Controller Juniata College, a highly ranked, national liberal arts college of 1,400 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of
central Pennsylvania, invites applications for the position of Controller. The successful candidate will plan and administer College-wide
accounting functions including grants accounting, payroll, student receivables, accounts payable, purchasing, bank reconciliations, cash
flow, and general accounting, The position recommends financial policies to assist in compliance and to improve the efficiency of operations;
maintains internal controls mechanisms; prepares financial reports and tax forms; manages audits; and assists in developing and monitoring
the College's $38M operating budgeting. Maintains a number of significant relationships and interactions with budget officers and the campus
community for the purpose of educating others about the budget and budgetary responsibilities. Position has functional supervision and staff
development responsibility over a 9 person staff and reports to Vice President for Finance and Operations. Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university and/or a CPA Certificate in combination with a four year degree in
business, finance or other relevant area of study. Five to seven years of progressively responsible, relevant experience in not for profit,
governmental, or corporate entity or in public accounting with such entities as clients. if public accounting only, must have achieved
manager status. Demonstrated experience using ERP application software systems as well as PC and web-based information technology tools.
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to customer service. Values a culturally and ethnically diverse work
environment. Preferred Candidate Qualifications: Master's degree in relevant area of study Experience in Datatel operating system
