Controller (Finance)

Southern Maryland Hospital is a 358 bed facility conveniently located in Clinton Maryland. The hospital offers state-of-th-art equipment and technology combined with a warm and friendly community hospital environment.

The finance department is currently searching for a dynamic controller. The position would report to the hospital Chief Financial Officer and is considered to be the "second-in-command" within the hospital financial structure. The candidate will be a hands-on manager with responsibilities that include oversight of a staff of nine FTEs. The individuals are responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, cash applications and financial reporting to include monthly financial statements, annual budgets and all regulatory reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
At least five years managerial healthcare experience in accounting or finance with thorough knowledge and skills required in budgeting, financial analysis and accounting.
Must possess a bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
