Controller/Director of Finance

Orlando based manufacturer/distributor seeks dynamic, highly efficient, experienced controller/director of finance

Position Summary:

Assist the president/shareholders with the financial affairs of the business and be responsible for the preparation of operational analysis and monthly financial statements (w/ supporting schedules) to be used for the guidance of management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation
Create and analyze budget vs. actual variances monthly
Review and approve accounts payable for PO compliance and proper coding
Book necessary journal monthly journal entries
Monitor accounts receivable and manage collection process
Prepare daily operational productivity analysis
Maintain banking relationships and submit required banking compliance
Perform daily treasury management functions
Conduct detail daily analysis of margins and make recommendations
Conduct daily exception audits to identify computer data inconsistencies and correct pro-actively
Conduct IT management to keep operational software current with needs of the business
Prepare for yearly audit
Run the accounting department including billing, A/R, and A/P
Work pro-actively in improve processes and procedures that will lead to greater customer satisfaction and corporate profitability

Salary is negotiable depending on level of experience and education

Education and Experience required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's degree or MBA preferred
5-10 years previous management experience
Possess high level of integrity, honesty and intelligence
ERP experience preferred
