The Gundersen Lutheran Controller plans, coordinates, directs and maintains a high quality general accounting, budgeting, accounts payable and financial reporting systems in accordance with GAAP which fulfills both internal and external financial information needs for the five primary corporation within the Gundersen Lutheran System (Clinic, Hospital, Admin Services, Health Plan and Foundation).Education/Learning Experience:Required: BSAccountingWork Experience:Required: 10 years in Accounting; 3 years managerial experience.
Desired: 15 years in Accounting; 5 years CPA firm, 10 years within a Healthcare Integrated Delivery System, Physician Group Practice and/or Hospital, previous controllership position.Skills/Knowledge:Required: GAAP, computerized accounting systems, excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to make effective presentations to large and small audiences, ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization, ability to manage and lead individuals as well as tasks, knowledge of the unique business issues within healthcare industry including the regulatory environment, reimbursement methods, tax exempt organization requirements, etc.Licenses/Certifications:
