Controller

Classification: Consulting Compensation: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour Our client seeks an ambitious Controller to join its Accounting Team in Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity to lead resources in a fast paced, progressive and successful environment.
As Controller, you will be a key member of the financial management team, responsible for all corporate related financial matters. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Company's financial resources are utilized efficiently and its systems are accurate.
Essential Results:
Successful management of the people and functions within the accounting department.
Effective budget creation and variance reporting.
Adherence to accounting policies.
Timely and accurate SEC filing.
Management of company's risk management function and maintenance of company credit and bonding facilities.
RequirementsEducation Qualifications:BA/BS degree in Business or Accounting related field. MBA/CPA/CMA, strongly preferred.
Experience Required:Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible management experience in accounting/finance disciplines in a heavy manufacturing, job cost environment, ideally within a public company of a similar or larger size. Minimum of seven years of experience managing various accounting functions including at least five years with total responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, internal controls and SEC compliance functions.
