Contracts Manager

Reports to: Director of Global SalesJob Summary:
Contracts Managers will establish strategies, policies and processes that reduces our financial and legal risks and improves the overall performance of our contract review and resolution processes. They will help to minimize gross margin deterioration from terms and conditions with our customers and suppliers.Responsibilities to Include:
Establish contract management strategies, policies and standardized processes that minimize our financial and legal risk and overall gross margin deterioration from ''as sold''.
Effectively deploy these to the applicable functions within the business without deteriorating our customer responsiveness or our productivity.
Improve the contract review process to eliminate errors in detection of non-standard or non-favorable terms and conditions.
Aid in negotiation of simplified standard terms and conditions for key customers and suppliers that will shorten lead times on quotations and improve reliability of our contracts.
Ensure that we are in compliance with all regional laws and regulations and with Textron corporate policies involved in contract review and control.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required in Paralegal or Juris Doctorate.Position Requirements:
5+Years experience in contract management / review in a highly engineered product.
Experience in Engineered Pumps business preferred.
Experience with engineered products required.
Experience in Engineering Contractor market for large highly engineered products preferred.
Six Sigma experience / certification preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills
Experience with basic information technology (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Internet)
Excellent problem solving skills and experience
High level of diplomacy and the ability to relate to people at all levels
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities, company products, technology and financial requirements as required.
Detail orientation and critical reviewing skills a plus
Ability to function independently and make decisions with minimal oversight.License and Certification Requirements:
