Contract Manager- Facilities

Responsibilities:
Maintains a continuing review of the progress of each contract and provides management with information regarding any financial, legal or technical difficulties. Prepares change order and amendments, negotiates with contractors and internal clients obtain settlement. Extensive knowledge and experience in contract administration and Project Management is required. Requirements: - Works with internal clients and contractors to design,implement an integrated and automated contractual record system. - Define project objectives, plan project budgets, schedules and priorities. - Administers various types of design and construction contracts including lump sum, cost plus, unit price, and time and material. - Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, contract administration and other major matters. - Maintains a continuing review and monitoring of the progress of each contract and provides management with information regarding any financial, legal or technical difficulties, and potential claims or disputes. - Enforce and comply with all applicable procedures and requirements including weekly progress meetings with the contractors, preparation of meeting minutes, change order management, negotiation with contractors to obtain settlement as required, and final contract closeouts. - Ability to formulate bid and proposal documents, perform bid evaluations and award various field contracts, as required with minimal supervision. - Ability to identify potential problem areas within a contract or proposal and recommend the correct solution. - Possesses extensive knowledge and experience in contract management and apply that knowledge and experience to improve contract and project performance. - Provides operational supervision and technical guidance to contractors. - Analyzes contract general terms and conditions to highlight areas of risk such as ambiguities, conflicts or deviations from the scope of work. - As work proceeds, makes recommendations to Management on the mitigation of these risks; closely monitors and supports remedial actions and recommends appropriate trade-offs. - Direct experience managing workload distribution and execution of the work. JOB COMPLEXITY: - Applies extensive technical expertise in area of specialty and has wide breadth of knowledge in related disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 3-5 years experience in Contract Administration NOT PURCHASING.Must be able to put together an agreement, terms & conditions, know what to send up to legal and what to negotiated on their own. Someone who worked with finance/ invoices, negotiate terms. This company wants candidates with a degree! But business or scientific or legal degree OK.
