Contract Administrator, Operations
Contract Administrator, OperationsThe Contract Administrator is primarily responsible for coordinating and managing all contract related documents with a project. He reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and works as a liaison between Operations, Accounting and Legal.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage all paperwork related to each contract with a customer (usually the Corps of Engineers).
Prepare and coordinate document submittals at the beginning of a contract execution.
Ascertain that job files for all contract related documents are properly maintained.
Review all daily reports from the field and ascertain that they accurately report the prior day’s activities.
Check the reconciliation of each day’s production against the budgeted production as prepared by either the project manager or vessel captain for each job.Consult with field management and staff and other technical personnel.
Prepare supporting documents for claims that arise during a project.
Maintain schedule of project personnel.
With the project manager, coordinate contracts for all project service vendors with support of Legal.
Document operation procedures as necessary.
Perform special projects as assigned by the COO.

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
College Degree.
Five years or more of contract and accounting experience with field experience a preference.
Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment and resolve practical problems with minimal supervision.
Excellent time management and analytical skills.Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand or sit, and move about in an office environment.
Regularly required to visit the project sites and board various marine vessels.
