Contract Administrator

Virtua Health is a multi-hospital healthcare system and one of the largest employers in southern New Jersey. With four hospitals, two rehabilitation and nursing centers, outpatient health and surgery centers, home healthcare services, and the William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness, Virtua Health employs 7,100 clinical and administrative personnel and 1,800 physicians as medical staff members.
The Purchasing Department based in our Marlton office currently has an opportunity for an individual who initiates, creates, facilities, and managers the bid process for products and services. Virtuas Purchasing Department uses a self contracting model and currently doesn’t participate in any Group Purchasing organizations. This Contract Administrator will oversee the Surgical Services, Anesthesia, and, Central Supply departments for all of Virtua Health’s locations. Interacts with Legal Council to ensure that a valid legal contract is created in the best interest of Virtua. Works as a liaison between Legal Counsel, Supplier, and the user to expedite the process. Oversees the work of two (2) Purchasing Assistant(s) in their daily activities.
Virtua Health's facilities are located just minutes from Philadelphia with easy access to all major routes including: Routes 295, 38, 70, 73 and exits 4 and 5 on the New Jersey Turnpike.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree (in Business preferred) and 1 years progressively responsible experience in purchasing or procurement activities or Associates Degree (in Business preferred) and 3 years progressively responsible experience in purchasing or procurement activities OR HS Diploma with 5 years progressively responsible experience in purchasing or procurement activities. **The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a Surgical Services area.
