Conceptual-thinking Contract Modeler with Healthcare Experience

We are seeking a Contract Modeler to be a member of our Revenue Cycle Management Team. You will have responsibility for overseeing and coordinating HIM initiatives and HIM department operations for our client hospitals. You will be charged with maintaining responsibility for modeling managed care contracts for supported facilities. To be successful, you must be able to conceptualize analytical approaches, manipulate and analyze data and provide decision support to all levels of hospital management.

Essential Job Functions – what you will be doing:
Review the month-end managed care contractual accrual process and periodically
tests the reasonableness of the accrual recorded by the facilities.
Utilize a fully-integrated, client server environment designed
specifically for healthcare facilities to provide: detail benefit analysis of hospital
services, managed care contract evaluation, physician profiling, managed care
contract accrual and performance analysis and utilization reporting.
Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the managed care contract
modeling application for facilities supported by the corporate office.
Coordinate the modeling of all managed care contract terms in appropriate systems
timely and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Assist patient financial services and facility management in the development of and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures for contract modeling, discrepancy reporting, and month-end accruals.
Provide feedback to key individuals related to managed care terms supported by the current contract modeling applications.
Manage the consultant/client relationship of third party vendors to monitor consulting efficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS
Positions require the ability to work out of Buffalo, NY; Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL/ Detroit, MI– you will be provided with an housing and travel expenses. Typically you will arrive on Monday morning with a Thursday evening Departure.


Required Experience:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience
3-5 years healthcare finance/accounting (managed care contract analysis and/or decision support)
Extensive communication and presentation skills
Excellent computer skills, excel, word, and database administration.
