Collections Support Analyst

The Collections Support Analyst must reconcile corporate collection and corporate returned item activity with bank account activity. This position reports to the Manager of Cash Operations/Collections Support. This individual will need strong research and analytical skills. They must work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS


The Collections Support Analyst will:Post corporate collection payments
Prepare daily Desktop deposits utilizing Check 21Desktop Deposit software
Reconcile inbound returned item file transmissions and outbound collection transmissions with bank activity
Research returned item and collection activity to support the collections department objectives
Support the objectives of the accounting department, providing research support relating to discrepancies between interfaced activity and actual bank account activity
Perform reconciliation of ACH loan payoffs transmitted to actual bank account activity
Prepare positive confirmation reports monthly
Works independently and exercises independent judgment
Works with other departments in research, analysis or reconciliation
Performs other assignments as required by the Manager of Cash Operations/Collections SupportEducation and/or Experience
High school education or equivalent
At least 2-3 years of data reconciliation experience
Knowledge of collections processes, understanding of relational database queries
Use of file transmissions is a plusKnowledge and Skills
Seeking strong organization skills; verbal and written communication skills
Excellent follow-up skills
Strong initiative and results orientation; detail oriented and comfortable with numbers; attention to accuracy

Working knowledge of the AS/400 a plus
