Co-op Accounting Assistant

This position is responsible for the accounting of various areas, (inventory, cash, fuel, tax, receivables, intercompany, money orders, lottery) for approximately 600 co-ops. It is responsible for the preparation of all balance sheet account reconciliations including assessing the adequacy of the general ledger balances for their respective area of responsibility. The position is also responsible for the transactional activity as well as any research required, and lends support to operations' management by providing counsel on accounting issues. REQUIREMENTS

B.S. Accounting/Business or equivalent work experience. Moderate level of skill with respect to General Accounting, bank reconciliations, and inventory process functions. Desktop applications (MS Office), particularly Excel. Strong written and oral communication skills are important.
