Call Center Customer Service Representative

H.A. Berkheimer, Inc. has a 60 year history of successful collection and administration of Pennsylvania Act 511 taxes for all sizes of municipalities and school districts throughout the state. Our success lies in our knowledgeable and customer oriented staff!

Berkheimer is currently seeking full time Customer Care Representatives in our high volume customer service call center. Representatives will focus on promoting and maintaining a positive company image while responding to taxpayers’ inquiries and concerns.

Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, excellent data entry skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous customer service experience strongly preferred but will train.

This position is full time from 8AM- 4:30PM. The pay is an hourly rate plus incentives. REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
Performing various clerical, data input and contact functions for Accounts by:
1.) Answering phone calls from taxpayers, clients and outer offices and handle according to established procedures.
2.) Recording information from night answering machine and update accounts accordingly.
3.) Training and assisting new employees in the position in accordance with the established procedures.
4.) Researching accounts when proof of payment is received or problems occur.
5.) Processing tax additions when necessary.
6.) Processing returned mail and place accounts on proper status.
7.) Adjusting and researching Current Tax Accounts.
8.) Setting Current Tax accounts for the appropriate interim forms when necessary.
9.) Adding and correcting information as necessary.
10.) Responding to correspondence from taxpayers and clients.
11.) Assuming additional responsibilities as needed.
Successful candidates will Maintain strictest confidentiality concerning all work while outside the company; and internally discussing relative information with interested parties as necessary.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of one year customer service/telemarketing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
