CONTROLLER - Real Estate - Atlanta, Hiring Now!

Very long-established and highly profitable private Real Estate Investment organization is seeking a Controller to report to the President.

This Controller will direct the financial affairs of the client and prepare financial reports and analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements of it, its clients, or managed entities. Furnish schedules and reports for the guidance of client management. The Controller is responsible for the preparation and presentation of the client's financial plans, accounting and computer policies, facilitating relationships with the financial community, the creation, maintenance, and indexing of accurate fiscal records. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing and controls, cost accounting and budgetary controls, and agreement compliance.

Other essential functions will include but not be limited to:

Development analysis, interpretation of statistical and accounting information allowing appraisal of operating results in terms of profitability, performance compared to budget and other matters relating to financial logic and operating effectiveness of projects.

Responsibility of evaluating performance of personnel in the accounting department. The Controller is responsible for recommending training, has the duty to keep the accounting staff at the highest level of skill and practice necessary to meet client's needs and objectives, and is expected to recommend hiring or firing of personnel based upon each individual's performance, and to maintain documentation for such recommendations and actions.

Maintains client's and its clients system of accounts, keeping books and records on all transactions, assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.

Analyze major economic objectives and policies for client and prepare reports that underline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and to forecast future operations, cash flows and financial need
REQUIREMENTS
An active CPA license is absolutely required, plus 5-20 years responsible accounting management experience, will Real Estate highly preferred.
