CONTROLLER DIRECTOR OF RISK MANAGEMENT/LOSS PREVEN

International Shipholding Corporation, a public company traded
on the New York Stock Exchange, will soon be relocating to the
Mobile area around the first quarter of 2007! We have the following
positions available:
CONTROLLER – Immediate opening for a Controller with a B.S. degree in Accounting
and 7-10 years experience managing an accounting department and supervising staff. Must
have SEC reporting experience. CPA preferred. Good communication skills, organizational
skills and proficiency in MS Office are a must.
DIRECTOR OF RISK MANAGEMENT/LOSS PREVENTION - Requirements
include a B.S./B.A. degree and 5-10 years of experience handling risk management and
loss prevention functions. Must have experience placing marine insurance coverage,
handling renewals of coverage as well as managing claims for cargo, personal injury, etc.
Must be pro-active and have a strong background in loss prevention strategies.
DIRECTOR OF TAXATION – Immediate opening for an individual 7+ years of
experience in international tax. Individual will handle research and planning on domestic
and international tax issues. Will oversee Tax Department in preparation of consolidated
and separate company federal, state and local corporate income, franchise, excise, sales
and use, payroll and property tax returns. Will also oversee preparation of foreign/
international tax schedules. International maritime experience a big plus.
TAX MANAGER – 3-5 years of tax compliance experience. Will prepare consolidated
and separate company federal, state and local corporate income, franchise, excise, sales
and use, payroll and property tax returns. Will also prepare/oversee foreign/international tax
schedules. International tax experience a plus.
DIRECTOR OF INTERNAL AUDIT – Immediate opening for a Director of Internal
Audit with a B.S. degree in Accounting or relevant business field and a minimum of 5 years
experience in Internal Audit. CIA or CPA certification preferred. Individual should have
knowledge of internal audit standards and best practices. SOX compliance audit experience
also required.
AUDIT SENIOR OR SUPERVISOR – Position requires a B.S. degree in Accounting
or related field and 2-5 years of Internal Audit experience. Must have knowledge of IIA
standards. CIA or CPA preferred. SOX compliance experience also preferable
STAFF ACCOUNTANTS – Individuals with B.S. degree in Accounting and 0-5 years
experience needed for Financial, Cost and Tax Accounting departments. Candidates must
have Microsoft Office experience and must be self-starters with good interpersonal skills.
Marine accounting experience a plus.
