COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST - MEDICAL OFFICE

* Responsible for assuring timely collection of accounts receivable, monitoring the account activity and providing adequate follow up to ensure maximum reimbursement is received.
* Performing collection activities, such as status calls to ensure timely reimbursement.
* Ensuring appropriate information is submitted to insurance companies in order to expedite payment.
*Request bad debt or collection agency decision from physician on any account where all efforts have been exhausted by the collections specialist.
* Review credit account balances and refund request received from patients and insurance companies.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma. Knowledge of medical terminology & medical billing (minimum of 1 years in a physician office setting.)
Must have excellent customer service skills and able to handle multiple tasks.
