The Division Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall Albuquerque Division financial administration. Business Units include hospitals, health plan, physician group, lab and CBO. Functional areas of responsibility include: general accounting, data processing, business office, materials management, information systems and financial reporting. This position ensures that the internal controls are adequate to safeguard the assets of each entity and that the accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reporting.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Consult with the Corporate CAO concerning:
The strategy and tactics for division financial affairs;
The development of operating policies and procedures;
And financial goals and objectives.
2. Direct-line management of facility based CFOs.
3. Ensure accurate review of product line analysis, and consult with appropriate division and corporate resources.
4. Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a timely basis each month with the corporate guidelines.
5. Prepare financial and management reports.
6. Prepare and administer the division’s annual operation and capital budget.
7. Ensure the effective control and management of the accounts payable for the facility.
8. Accountable for division revenue cycle performance, as managed through CBO.
9. Responsibilities include evaluating performance and initiating or recommending personnel actions and maintaining good employee relations.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES1. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate ideas, problems, instructions (written and oral).
2. Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, recommend, and implement courses of action that would improve the functioning of the company.
3. Ability to use sound judgment in decision making.
4. Knowledge of strategic planning and short and long-range goal implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field required. Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years as a hospital CFO. Experience in an integrated health delivery system strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements: CPA certification preferred.Ardent is an EOE.
